Premier Mark Brantley attends conch festival, lauds its varieties of dishes
Nevis: Premier of Nevis and the leader of Concerned Citizens Movement Mark Brantley attended the conch festival hosted by Jessups, Cotton Ground, and Barnes Ghaut Fisher’s Association on Nevis Island.
On Monday, June 6, 2022, Premier Mark Brantley also appreciated Jessups, Cotton Ground, and Barnes Ghaut Fisher’s Association for the successful and wonderful hosting of the conch festival.
The leader of CCM also hailed the conch dishes which were served at the festival and stated that it was an amazing experience for him to taste all the dishes.
After attending the festival, Premier Mark Brantley noted, “Sending love to the Jessups, Cotton Ground, and Barnes Ghaut Fisher’s Association for a truly wonderful conch festival today.”
Premier further added that he had tasted almost everything present in the conch festival, which includes conch roti, conch fritters, conch balls, grilled conchs to conch kebabs.
Giggling Premier Mark Brantley expressed, “The variety of conch dishes was truly amazing. I think I tasted almost everything from conch roti to conch fritters to conch balls to grilled conchs to conch kebabs.”
He further explained that their festival also consisted of various other food items, such as conch cooked up and stewed conchs, but he asserted that he already had many things, and that’s why he couldn’t afford to handle anything more.
Further, he also enjoyed it all with some soursop which is amazingly great, and Premier also indulged in various fun activities. Premier Mark Brantley also indulged in some fun time after playing some dominoes.
Premier Mark Brantley underscored, “They also had conch cook up and stewed conchs, but I couldn’t handle anything more. I enjoyed it all with some soursop juice and still found time to play some dominoes.“
For Premier Mark Brantley, it was “Truly a great family event.” He also extended gratitude to the organizers and added, “Huge congratulations to the organizers.”
