Premier Brantley welcomes Japanese Ambassador ‘Yutaka Matsubara’ in Nevis

Premier of Nevis and leader of Concerned Citizens' Movement Mark Brantley held a meeting with Yutaka Matsubara, who is a new Ambassador of Japan to the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

Premier of Nevis Brantley emphasized the importance of the diplomatic ties between Japan and St Kitts and Nevis. He also stated that their discussion has focused on various matters of concern, including several bilateral exchanges. 

Further, Brantley also stressed the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the two countries such as Japan and the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis. 

While expressing pleasure, Premier Mark Brantley noted, “Such an honour to welcome Yutaka Matsubara the new Japanese Ambassador to St Kitts and Nevis.”

Further, Matsubara was on his maiden trip to Nevis together with his wife Masako Matsubara and Second Secretary Megumi Maekawa

In addition to that, Premier Brantley also outlined that Japan and St Kitts and Nevis shared a great relationship for almost 37 years. He said that the diplomatic relations between the two countries are growing, even more, stronger day by day. 

Premier Brantley asserted, “Such an honour to welcome HE Yutaka Matsubara, the new #Japanese Ambassador to St Kitts and Nevis on his maiden trip to #Nevis. The relationship between #Japan and #StKitts #Nevis has endured for 37 years and grows stronger every day. Diplomacy Matters.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Civil Aviation of St Kitts and Nevis and Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley held a meeting with Ambassador of the European Union Malgorzata Wasilewska on Friday, April 1, 2022.

The interaction has been held between the delegations through the online mode and that is virtual. St Kitts and Nevis and the European Union shared strong relations, and Premier Brantley expressed that diplomacy always matters, so they have discussed various matters of exchange.

Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley added that they had touched on critical issues that are related to both the Caribbean region and the European Union.
