St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis and Leader of the Concerned Citizen’s Movement Mark Brantley slammed the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) for not standing for the rights of the people of Nevis.
Premier Mark Brantley raised several questions on the NRP and their careless approach towards people. He stated that NRP has never worked for the welfare of the people and never asked for the rightful shares of the Nevisians.
In his Facebook post, the leader of CCM alleged that NRP has refused to join the fight against the COVID-19 to save lives on their island.
In addition to that, The NRP has also refused to join the fight for Nevis to get its rightful share from Citizenship by Investment funds, he added.
While raising questions over the credibility of the NRP, Premier emphasized, “Is the NRP really for Nevisians?”
He also put a question mark on the honesty of the NRP and wondered if it really cares about the people of the island.
Outlining several aspects of the fund raised by the CBI programme, Premier of Nevis Brantley wrote in his Facebook post, “NRP was with Labour in the Federal government when the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) earned $2.32 billion from Citizenship by Investment Programme.”
He exclaimed that Nevis has never got the fair share of the CBI as the country always faced discrimination, but instead of raising any question about the rights of the people, NRP doesn’t even care about it.
He pointed out, “Nevis got $28.7 million including $13 million as Loans. Does NRP care about Nevisians?”
Premier of Nevis Brantley further outlined various aspects of when NRP was in the Federal government. He stated that there was a time when cheques of the Nevis civil servants were bounced by a bank which is controlled by the same Federal government and noted, “Does NRP care about Nevisians?”
A leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement also highlighted some kind of conversation with the NRP through which he wanted to show the careless attitude of the party when it was in the Federal government.
“Voter: So NRP, why do you all sit in the Federal Cabinet and let a bank which is controlled by the same Federal government bounce Nevis civil servants’ cheques?
“NRP: Is Mark’s fault
Voter: But you were in the Federal Cabinet, not Mark.
NRP: Ah, say is Mark’s fault
Voter: Can you understand that this act alone must be seen as treasonous to the people of Nevis?
NRP: Stupes you no hear is Mark damn fault?
Voter: Do you know that this spiteful act hurt all public servants in Nevis and their families?
NRP: Listen, no ask me no more choopit questions. The interview is done,” highlighted Brantley to show the careless behaviour of NRP.
