Premier Brantley sings book of condolences in High Court where late Ambassador Amory’s body lies

 In the High Court Building, Premier Mark Brantley has signed the book of condolences. He stated during the signing ceremony; that he also paid his respects to a truly great Nevisiaon Vance Amory.

St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis and Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement Mark Brantley attended the High Court building in Charlestown where the body of the fallen hero Premier Vance Amory lies in State on Thursday, April 28, 2022. 

 In the High Court Building, Premier Mark Brantley has signed the book of condolences. He stated during the signing ceremony; that he also paid his respects to a truly great Nevisian Vance Amory. 

Outlining his visit, the Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement noted, “I attended the High Court building in Charlestown, where the body of our fallen hero Premier Vance Amory lies in State. I signed the book of condolences and paid my respects to a truly great Nevisian.”

The body of late Ambassador and Former Premier of Nevis Vance Amory arrived in Nevis from St Kitts on Friday, April 22, 2022. Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley and other NIA cabinet colleagues were present at the Charlestown pier. 

A private vessel under military guard transported the body of the Ambassador to Nevis, where it was accompanied by two coastguard vessels. The body has been draped into flags and greeted by wife Vernita Amory and other NIA delegations. 

Further, the casket that has carried the late Ambassador’s body is taken to Elliott’s Funeral Home. 

While extending tribute to Vance Amory, Premier Mark Brantley noted, “His Excellency Premier Vance Winkworth Amory is home.”

Premier Brantley said that Vance Amory devoted all his life to the country and always worked for the betterment of the people of Nevis. A nation is not just about the flag, anthem, and coat of arms-it is much more. He also worked for the upliftment of the sectors, especially the Education sector.

The late former Premier of Nevis Vance Amory will be afforded a state funeral at the Elquemedo Willett Park on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
