Premier Brantley announces installment of CCTV surveillance programme in Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis: Concerned Citizen’s Movement led Nevis Island Administration has made efforts for the improvement of the security of the island by installing CCTV cameras at the street of the country. 

Mark Brantley- Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis and Premier of Nevis, has made the announcement of the installment of the CCTV surveillance programme on Sunday, March 27, 2022. 

The new public CCTV surveillance programme is the initiative towards the security and safety of the residents of Nevis island. Mark Brantley also recommended it as a great initiative in the upliftment of the local infrastructure of the country. 

He further emphasized that this became possible with the continued efforts of his CCM-led NIA government. While assuring for the further commitment towards the development and continued growth of the country, Brantley expressed that his administration will always work for the security of the country. 

He stated that the CCTV surveillance programme is another initiative that provides effective security and also helps the citizens to feel safe on the streets of the country.  

Outlining the importance of the programme, Mark Brantley noted, “The new public CCTV surveillance program is the result of our dedication to improving our #security and local #infrastructure.” 

He emphasized that the programme was also slowing the strengthening of the local infrastructure of the country and stated, “Our committed leadership and the strength of our community are the basis of # Nevis’s continued growth.” 

Premier Brantley also shared a glimpse of the installment of CCTV cameras through his Facebook post. The picture shows that the cameras are installed in the streets of the country. 

The photo expressed that the safety of the citizens of the country is the foremost priority of the country.
