St Kitts and Nevis: In order to fulfil its commitment to deliver the workers of the Skilled Training Empowerment Programme (STEP), when it recently achieved a milestone of incorporating hundreds of workers on the STEP into the public service as government auxiliary workers, the government of St Kitts and Nevis stated that the process of regularizing the workers into pubic services would continue over the coming months.

The announcement was made during the press conference on Thursday, June 2, 2022, and stated, “The measure will assist the people in this challenging period as they were made possible because of the sufficient management of the country and as Minister of Finance.”

“I want to state that the success that has been delivered by my government for the country called Federation of St Kitts and Nevis under my leadership over the past seven years. The Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis made the land for debt swap arrangement, PM Harris underlined.

He also outlined that there is no evidence that Former Ministers through which they could undermine any minister that served in the Team Unity coalition government.

Prime Minister Timothy Harris also dismissed every notion of Premier Mark Brantley and Shawn K Richards who were the former members of the Federal Cabinet. He stated that these notions were false as they have miserably failed in their duties to properly and effectively carry out the work of the people.

“There has never been any undermining reported by any minister until now, and all this is a part of the deceitful politics which could be propagated by the six who have been sacked by his government due to their non-performance,” added PM Timothy Harris.

Prime Minister Harris said what makes these claims even more unbelievable is the fact that those who are propagating them have all given their fullest support to budgetary allocations year after year.
