St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended greetings and wishes to St Kitts Farmer’s Cooperative Society on their 20th-anniversary celebrations on Sunday, January 15, 2023. 

PM Terrance Drew also delivered the keynote address at their award ceremony. In the ceremony, he presented the award to the people who have done a commendable job promoting local products of St Kitts and Nevis. 

While extending greetings, PM Drew cited, “Congratulations to the St Kitts Farmer’s Cooperative Society on your 20th-anniversary celebrations.” 

He also delivered brief remarks at their Awards Ceremony Luncheon earlier today, a part of their anniversary celebrations.

Samal Duggins, Minister of Agriculture Fisheries, Marine Resources, and Cooperatives, was also present to address the honorees. Various farmers across the country have received the award for their huge contribution to the agriculture sector. 

Farmers Arabella Nisbett, Luther Clarke, Paulette Peets, and Ernest Wigley were honoured and awarded today for their various contributions to the development of agriculture within the Federation. 

PM Terrance Drew extended greetings and noted, “Congratulations once again to them. I wish them the best in their future endeavours.” 

He cited that St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party administrations are devoted to modernizing and bringing the Agriculture Sector into the twenty-first century. This objective is a vital component of our effort to reimagine their growth to create a sustainable island state. 

“We intend to reposition the Agriculture Sector so that it can contribute more to economic growth, jobs, food and nutrition security, and the overall sustainability of our country. The St Kitts Farmers’ Cooperative Society Ltd is the largest producer cooperative group in the Federation, “said the prime minister. 

Yesterday, Saturday, January 14, Prime Minister Terrance Drew also hosted a special dinner at the Prime Minister’s residence at Beacon Heights for the 2022 class of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in St Kitts and Nevis.

The young men and women spoke on their various platforms of interest and engaged in frank and fruitful discussions with himself, Deputy Prime Minister Geoffrey Hanley, Junior Minister Isalean Phillip, and Youth Officer Sahira Joseph.

PM Terrance Drew was quite impressed with these brilliant young minds. The future is quite bright for their beloved Federation.

The 2022 class of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in St Kitts and Nevis engaged in frank discussions with Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew on Saturday (January 14, 2023) during a dinner at the Prime Minister’s residence at Beacon Heights.

Deputy Prime Minister Geoffrey Hanley, as well as Junior Minister, the Honourable Isalean Phillip, also attended the dinner held in a relaxing and engaging atmosphere.
