PM Terrance Drew congratulates eleven nationals for being recipients of 2022 Taiwan scholarships

Newly elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, honoured eleven nationals with 2022 Taiwan Scholarships. He also extended warm wishes and greeting to the nationals for being the recipients of the 2022 Taiwan Scholarships.

St Kitts and Nevis: Newly elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, honoured eleven nationals with 2022 Taiwan Scholarships. He also extended warm wishes and greeting to the nationals for being the recipients of the 2022 Taiwan Scholarships. 

The scholarships were given in the award ceremony held on August 18, 2022. 

The name of the eleven nationals who received the Taiwan Scholarships such as follows:

  • Teresa Dias
  • Everton Liburd
  • Rasarles Nisbett
  • Jermellia Henry
  • Dahjaal James
  • Vadelle Jarvis
  • Zidane Knight
  • Devon Peters
  • Lestron Simpson
  • Deonje Woodley

While extending greetings, PM Terrance Drew stated, “Congratulations are in order for the eleven nationals of St.Kitts and Nevis for being the recipients of the 2022 Taiwan Scholarships, namely Mr.Hakim Blackmoore, Ms.Teresa Dias, Mr.Everton Liburd, Mr.Rasarles Nisbett, Ms. Jermellia Henry, Mr.Dahjaal James, Ms.Vadelle Jarvis, Ms.Zidane Knight, Mr.Devon Peters, Mr.Lestron Simpson and Mr.Deonje Woodley.” 

He asserted that due to their ambition and commitment, these eleven nationals become able to receive the Taiwan scholarships, which will help in their future endeavours. 

PM Drew added, “The students whose ambition and commitment to their educational and career advancement motivated them to apply for these scholarships.” 

He stressed that the government of St Kitts and Nevis always work for the upliftment of the nation, and education is their priority. They are working to generate advancement and modernity in the education sector of the twin-island Federation. 

PM Drew extended thanks to the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), which continues to encourage and enhance our people’s academic and leadership abilities.

PM Terrance Drew completed their successful week in the office of the prime minister and outlined their big announcement made this week. 

After being sworn in as PM of St Kitts and Nevis on August 6, 2022, the PM-led administration declared their cabinet on August 13, 2022.Â
