St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, paid homage to fallen soldiers of the World Wars during the 2023 Remembrance Day. The day was celebrated on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Basseterre.
The day was recognized as the 2023 Remembrance Day Religious Service and Parade, which was held at the Cenotaph in Fortlands, Basseterre.
Minister of the Cabinet, government officials, other dignitaries, members of the armed forces, uniformed bodies, and families of the fallen soldiers attended the event. The day was celebrated to pay respects to the heroes who gave their lives during the Great Wars of 1914 to 1918 (World War I) and 1939 to 1945 (World War II).
Remembrance Day 2023 has been celebrated with the hosting of a number of events, including Female Face-Off.
2023 Remembrance Day Female Face-Off said,” After three days of fantastic competition, we have come to the end of the 2023 Remembrance Day Female Face-Off. Thank you to all of the teams that came out to play, especially those travelling and braving difficult weather and ferries.”
It added,” To our tournament committee, volunteers and referees, thank you so much for ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable weekend for our players. Thank you to the coaches, cheering families, and SeaParc staff. And to our sponsors and donors, we could not do this without you.”
With special gratitude to the Coast Salish Nation, specifically the T’Sou-ke Nation, for sharing your beautiful lands with them.
