Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, along with Premier Mark Brantley, will be paid his first official visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan) in November.

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, along with Premier Mark Brantley, will be paid his first official visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan) in November. In order to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, PM Drew announced his visit on Saturday, October 8, 2022, during the end of the Taiwan National Day Health Walk.
The Taiwan National Day Health Walk was held with the aim of celebrating the 111th anniversary of Taiwan’s Independence. It is also called Double Ten Day, which is observed on October 10, 2022, every year.
While announcing his visit, PM Terrance Drew noted, “Let me announce that my first official state visit will be to Taiwan in November,” Prime Minister Drew told scores of persons who had taken part in the walk, which was led by the Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), His Excellency Michael Lin. “I want to thank the Republic of China (Taiwan), who will have us there.”
Premier Mark Brantley and various other dignitaries of St Kitts and Nevis joined Taiwan on their National Day Health Walk.
St Kitts and Nevis have been witnessing a friendly bond between Prime Minister Drew and Premier Brantley, which is a good sign for the development of the nation. After being elected as the PM of St Kitts and Nevis on August 5, 2022, he has been taking Nevis along with St Kitts on every developmental aspect.
PM Drew mentioned,” “I also want to announce that the Premier (of Nevis, the Hon Mark Brantley) will also be on that trip with us to Taiwan, with another member from Nevis.”
He further asserted that this was just a demonstration that St. Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan continue on the strong path of great relations.”
Shedding light upon the relationship between St Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan, he added that the relationship was established in 1983, the year St. Kitts and Nevis attained its independence.
“This relationship has stood the test of time,” commented the fourth Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.”
He stated that despite any political administration, the relationship between the two countries has never suffered, which shows that it is beyond any political party. The relationship is a close-tight connection between the people of two countries.
PM Terrance Drew also extended warm wishes and greetings to the president and the people of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on their one hundred and eleventh National Day anniversary celebration, conveyed St. Kitts and Nevis’s warmest congratulations to them, and wished them much more success.
