PM Narendra Modi condoles loss of life in Turkey earthquake, extends assistance

Prime Minister of India- Narendra Modi extended condolences to the people who lost their loved one in the massive earthquake that shattered Turkey and nearby areas.

India: Prime Minister of India- Narendra Modi extended condolences to the people who lost their loved one in the massive earthquake that shattered Turkey and nearby areas. While showing deep sadness, PM Modi expressed solidarity with the country in this tough time and over the loss of lives and property.

PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter and added that he is anguished by the loss of lives and damage of property due to the Earthquake in Turkey. He extended condolences to the people who lost their loved and wished for the soon recovery of the injured ones

He tweeted that India stands in solidarity with the Turkey people and will assist the country in their every possible way.

Turkey reported massive earthquake resulting in the killings of more than 4,800 people and injuring of 15,000 people. The World Health Organization warned that the toll may rise dramatically as rescuers find more victims. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took to Twitter and cited that the search and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the areas hit by the earthquake.

Along with that, External Affairs Minister of India- S Jaishankar took to Twitter and expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the tragic earthquake that shattered both Turkey and Syria. He also extended support to his Turkish counterparty Mevlut Cavusoglu and added that he is deeply distressed by the loss of lives and damage in the earthquake in Turkiye.

The US National Security Advisor also joined the world leaders to express grief over the loss of life in the earthquake of Turkey and extended timely assistance to cope the distress.

He said that the United States of America is deeply concerned with the destructive earthquake in Turkiye and Syria. He have been in touch with Turkish officials to extend assistance in the tough times. He added that they will continue monitor the situation in coordination with the country.
