Grenada: The Caribbean island of Grenada – Dr Keith Mitchell praised and commended the continued improvements to the operation of and services provided by the National Water and Sewerage Authority – NAWASA over the years.

The Prime Minister stated, “It was a pleasure to be part of the recent commissioning of new corporate headquarters of NAWASA. The board and management team must be commended for the visionary leadership in bringing the long-awaited project to fruition.”

PM Mitchell further noted that the progress of NAWASA had been slow and steady over the past years, adding that “What you witness today in terms of the level of service provided comes as an outcome of years of dedication to growth and excellence.”

“I have seen the progress first hand, and I can attest that what we have today represents a far cry from what we had a few decades ago.”

As a former Minister of Works who had responsibility for the water company in the year of 1980s, it is essential to encourage NAWASA to continue delivering on its mandate to meet the needs of its customers across the Grenada Carriacou and Petite Martinique Caribbean islands, the prime minister noted.

NAWASA works with the mission to provide customers with a safe, sufficient and reliable water supply and safe disposal of waste water in a viable and efficient manner that meets and exceeds customer expectations and assures the development of their organization, communities and their nation.

In addition, NAWASA is inviting the residents of Petite Martinique to an important meeting on Thursday, July 15th, 2021, to discuss the development of the island’s water supply network.

NAWASA officials shared the information of the meet via their social media handle and cited that “The Residents are encouraged to make a special effort to attend and to be on time.”
