PM Holness visits West Philadelphia Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jamaica
Jamaica: Prime Minister Andrew Holness visited the West Philadelphia Seventh Day Adventist Church and had great discussions with church leaders across denominations on the morning of Saturday, April 30, 2022.
The discussions covered national issues as well as plans for Jamaica within the context of our 60th year and beyond.
He said, “Jamaica is at a critical point in its development where we are poised for significant growth. Yesterday during my remarks at the Jampro Investment Forum, I made the point that we must seize this opportunity to truly realize our potential to be a modem, peaceful and prosperous country for all Jamaicans.”
Prime Minister Andrew Holness had the great pleasure of addressing the Jampro Investment Forum put on by the Consulate General of Jamaica to New York at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia.
Jamaica continues to pursue its economic growth agenda aggressively, and we are utilizing every opportunity to promote Jamaica as an excellent business and investment destination.
Various citizens of Jamaica applaud Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
Joseph Edwards stated, “Happy Sabbath to you PM and all worshippers. It is a blessed day. I’m watching Pastor Doug Bachelor from the Granite Bay SDA church in California. Of course I started with the President of the Jamaican Union of SDA, Pastor Everett Brown preaching at the East Jamaica Conference of SDA in St. Andrew.”
Carole Murphy said, “Shame the National discussion didn’t include many peoples dismay about the constant and latest destruction of a beautiful and essential part of this country with the Boxite devastation and for so little reward for the country at the huge cost to our future generations.”
Prime Minister Holness attended a virtual meeting with United States Vice President Kamala Harris and fellow Caribbean Leaders as we continue to focus on our economic recovery in the aftermath, and indeed the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic.
Other areas of discussion during the meeting were Security Cooperation and Climate Resilience and Energy Security.
