PM Harris interacts with vendors, patrons during his visit to Public Market of St Kitts and Nevis

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris has again conducted one of his regular visits to the Public Market in the capital of Federation-Basseterre earlier this morning of Saturday, April 16, 2022.  

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris has again conducted one of his regular visits to the Public Market in the capital of Federation-Basseterre earlier this morning of Saturday, April 16, 2022.  

Prime Minister Harris visited the public market in order to support and encourage the farmers and fisheries of the nation. 

“Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris concluded another successful visit to the Basseterre Public Market early this morning where he again showed his support for the nation’s farmers and fishers.”

During the visit, Prime Minister Harris lauded local farmers, vendors, and fishermen for contributing to uplifting the agriculture and fishery sector and worked tirelessly to advance the sector. 

This is one of the regular visits of Prime Minister Timothy Harris to the Basseterre Public Market during these visits, the Prime Minister buys locally produced food and interacts with vendors and patrons at the Public Market

While interacting with the vendors and patrons, Prime Minister Harris stated he is pretty impressed with the various strategies adopted by the farmers in order to secure and save the food across the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.

Prime Minister Harris shared several photos on social media in which it could be seen that he was interacting with the vendors and patrons of the Federation and listening to their various issues of them. He also assured them to uplift their sector further so that they could get their deserving profit if their work. 

Prime Minister Harris was joined by Ian Chapman Crops Programme leader in the Department of Agriculture

During his visit, Prime Minister Harris met with patrons and vendors at the market, providing an opportunity for them to express their views directly. 

A number of vendors used the opportunity to express their appreciation to PM Harris after interacting with him and extend gratitude to the government and Team Unity Administration for the support given to the farmers over the past seven years.
