PM Harris extends greetings to ‘Trevlyn Stapleton’ after appointed as Clerk of National Assembly

Further, the information about her appointment as a Clerk of the National Assembly has been announced by the press release issued from the Office of the Speaker of the National Assembly, which reads that she has been appointed as a Clerk by the government of St Kitts and Nevis on April 13, 2022.

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris extended a greeting and warm wishes to Trevlyn Stapleton on her appointment as Clerk of the National Assembly in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis. 

On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Prime Minister Harris took his Facebook page and posted a heartfelt greeting to Stapelton. 

PM Harris expressed, “Congratulations to our very own, inspiring, and aspiring Trevlyn Stapleton. I offer heartfelt congratulations to Miss Trevlyn Stapleton on her appointment as Clerk of the National Assembly.”

Further, the information about her appointment as a Clerk of the National Assembly has been announced by the press release issued from the Office of the Speaker of the National Assembly, which reads that she has been appointed as a Clerk by the government of St Kitts and Nevis on April 13, 2022.  

The press release reads, “It is hereby informed to the general public of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis that in accordance with section 35 of the Constitution of the country, Trevlyn Stapleton has been appointed to the position of Clerk of the National Assembly. Section 35 of the Constitution outlined the candidate and its requirement for the position of the Clerk of the National Assembly, which also needed that the position should be a public office. The appointment of the Clerk has come in effect from January 1, 2022.”

Some glimpse of the life of Stapleton: 

Stapleton holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Monroe College, New York. She further served as Deputy Clerk of the Assembly for just over two years. She was also appointed as an Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister for the past three years. 

Further, Michael Perkins, who is a Speaker of the National Assembly, has also extended warm wishes to the new Clerk and noted, “On behalf of the entire Membership and staff of Parliament, I extend heartiest congratulations to Miss Stapleton.”
