PM Harris extends gratitude to people of St Kitts and Nevis for managing COVID situation

Prime Minister Harris further outlined the vaccination rate and said that the twin-island Federation has touched the incredible mark with 77.9% vaccination rates amongst the adult population, this equates to a total of 26,429 people being fully vaccinated.

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris extended gratitude to the people and residents of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis who have made efforts to manage the COVID-19 situation in the country on Thursday, April 7, 2022. 

While showing courtesy to the residents of the Federation, Prime Minister Timothy Harris noted,” I pay tribute to the people of St Kitts and Nevis who have been key in helping us to manage COVID19 as well as we have.”

Prime Minister Harris further outlined the vaccination rate and said that the twin-island Federation has touched the incredible mark with 77.9% vaccination rates amongst the adult population, this equates to a total of 26,429 people being fully vaccinated.

Moreover, Prime Minister Harris also encouraged the residents of the country to get vaccinated and asserted it is only one means to combat the viral infection of the novel coronavirus.  

The Health Ministry of the twin-island Federation has administered 57,791 doses to the people of the country. 77.9% of the total adult population received a second dose of the vaccine against the viral infection of the novel coronavirus.

As per their reports, there are no additional fatalities with a total of 42 people having sadly lost their lives due to COVID-19 since the pandemic emerged in the country. This breaks down to 35 people in St. Kitts and 7 in Nevis.

St Kitts and Nevis reported one new case of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours on Wednesday, April 7, 2022. St Kitts and Nevis have vaccinated 9.7 percent with booster shots against the viral infection of the novel coronavirus to the population of the country.

St Kitts and Nevis reported a total of 26,429 people to have been fully vaccinated. Moreover, the Health Ministry of the twin-island Federation has administered 57,791 doses to the people of the country. A 77.9 percent of the total adult population received a second dose of the vaccine against the viral infection of the novel coronavirus.

The toll of the active cases of the COVID-19 pandemic stood at two and all the active cases have been reported from St Kitts. Currently, there is no new active cases have been treated in Nevis.
