Antigua and Barbuda: The government of Antigua and Barbuda is all set to open Youth Business Hub for the constituency of St Peters on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 3 pm. Prime Minister Gaston Browne invited the citizens, especially youth, to join the opening ceremony of the Hub.
The Grand opening of the Youth Business Hub will be held at Parham Basketball Court. The aim of the business hub is to foster the youth in entrepreneurship. The opening of the Business hub will provide a platform for youth to enhance their skills in business and get ample opportunity to generate their ideas for running a successful business.
Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party invited the youth and cited,” St. Peters, you are invited to join Rawdon Turner and the St Peter’s constituency- ABLP for the grand opening of the St. Peters Youth Business Hub on Saturday, January 1,4 2023, at 3 pm.”
The opening will feature guest speakers such as Prime Minister Gaston Browne, Rawdon Turner, EP Chet Greene, Daryll Mathew, and Samantha Marshall. The speakers will interact with the youth and suggest them numerous ways for their startups or enhance their ongoing businesses.
The government of Antigua and Barbuda stated that Youth entrepreneurship fosters friendly market competition, generates income, creates additional employment opportunities, encourages service and product innovation, and revitalizes the communities in which they operate.
The business hub not only benefits the St. Peter’s community directly but the country’s economic development as a whole. Because they face greater challenges than adult entrepreneurs, they require adequate development programs, access, and tools to aid in their success. The St. Peter’s Youth Business Hub was designed to do just that, by literally placing the keys in their hands. On Saturday people will witness the opening of phase 1 of this exciting opportunity for the young people of St. Peters.
The government of Antigua and Barbuda has implemented numerous plans and policies for the upliftment of the youth. Prime Minister Gaston Browne led-administration spent $240 million over the last 8 years, providing for higher education both on five islands and overseas.
Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party government has broken ground for the construction of a new aquatic centre with an appropriate size international swimming pool, and it will construct a multi-purpose, well-equipped indoor sports centre that will prepare our young people for competition in regional and international games.
Antigua and Barbuda will witness general elections on January 18, 2023, and it is expected that PM Gaston Browne-led ABLP will form the government. People across the country have expressed their happiness and satisfaction towards the work done by the prime minister. People stated that due to the efficient policies of the ABLP-led government, they managed to come out of the devastating situation created by the Hurricanes and COVID-19 pandemic.
The economy of Antigua and Barbuda witnessed significant during the tenure of PM Gaston Browne which makes the people grow in different fields.
ABLP added, ”We say RED IS BREAD because, after the economic collapse of Harold Lovell and the UPP, we rebuilt the country. We say RED IS BREAD because after the COVID-19 crisis brought economic issues, we are rebuilding our country. Why would we ever go back to Harold Lovell and UPP.”
