As polls for the general elections in St Kitts and Nevis are over and final results are yet to come, Premier Mark Brantley took to social media and extended huge gratitude to the people who cast their right to vote.

St Kitts and Nevis: As polls for the general elections in St Kitts and Nevis are over and final results are yet to come, Premier Mark Brantley took to social media and extended huge gratitude to the people who cast their right to vote.

Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement- Mark Brantley, expressed that let him take this opportunity to thank each and every voter, those who voted for the great CCM Party and those that chose to vote differently.

He penned down, “It is now over. The people have spoken. The polls are closed. Whilst we do not yet know what the people have said, let me take this opportunity to thank each and every voter, those who voted for the great CCM Party and those that chose to vote differently.”

Premier expressed pleasure in the contesting of the free and fair elections on the island. He stated that this is really a proud moment for everyone that the island has not witnessed any kind of tension, intimidation, threats or violence. People cast their votes peacefully.

Mark Brantley noted, “I wish to go on record to say how proud I am of our people and the island and country we are privileged to call our home. Today in Nevis, there was no tension, no intimidation, no threats and certainly no violence. Our people voted peacefully for the candidates of their choice. For this, I think we all deserve a rousing round of applause.”

Further, he also wishes and hopes that the counting process will go seamlessly and that the people’s voices will be heard and respected.

He added that in any election which is free and fair, the voice of the people is the voice of God.

While extending gratitude, Premier Mark Brantley said THANK YOU, Nevis!! May Jehovah God continue to let his face shine upon them, and may his unmerited grace be theirs now and forever more.
