Online feedback system launched by Jamaica’s Agriculture Minister

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica has launched an online customer feedback system for the farmers and fisheries, which can be assessed through the Ministry's website at www.moa.gov.jm via any digital device.

Jamaica: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica has launched an online customer feedback system for the farmers and fisheries, which can be assessed through the Ministry’s website at www.moa.gov.jm via any digital device.

This online customer feedback system is launched so that farmers and fisheries across Jamaica can have way quality customer care assistance and services. The feedback system was launched virtually.

The online feedback system is launched by Floyd Green, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. It would further improve the delivery service from the ministry to its several stakeholders.

The Individuals can put forward their queries, complaints, suggestions and general feedback, which would be processed virtually. Through using a generated reference number or email address, customers can track their requests and would receive a response to their request within one day.

On the launch of the feedback system, Floyd asserted that “The new system would allow the ministry’s diverse customer base, which is primarily situated in rural Jamaica, to remain in constant contact with the entity, without the need to physically travel to Kingston.”

Following the statement, the minister further added, “We believe that in the new face of food, the incorporation of technology is important and has to filter everything we do at the ministry.”

“Noting that the objective is to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and responsiveness to the needs of our citizens,” Floyd added.

The minister further cited that “The ministry supported for the establishment of a Customer Service Branch in the year 2018, making it the first Ministry in Jamaica with a full-service unit primarily for customer care.”

This online feedback system is created by the Customer Service Branch of the ministry and which would handle and manage the system.

Fisheries of Jamaica mainly contribute to small-scale food security, as well as to the employment of the coastal communities while 47 per cent of the land of Jamaica is agricultural.
