Nevis witnesses shooting of 7th feature film, Premier Mark Brantley shares details

The Nevis Island Administration, in collaboration with MSR Media, is shooting the 7th feature film on the island. Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement- Mark Brantley, announced the shooting of the film.

Nevis: The Nevis Island Administration, in collaboration with MSR Media, is shooting the 7th feature film on the island. Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement- Mark Brantley, announced the shooting of the film. 

Through his social media, Premier Mark Brantley expressed huge pleasure and stated that Nevis is paving the path of development efficiently. Various sectors have been experiencing progress, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. 

He added that the Nevis Island Administration-led Concerned Citizens Movement is making every possible effort to diversify the economy of the country. So that’s why during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, Premier outlined that the government negotiated with film-makers MSR Media to come to Nevis and help them to start a movie industry. 

Premier Mark Brantley added, “At the end of 2020, during the height of the Covid19 pandemic, your government negotiated with film-makers MSR Media to come to Nevis and to help us start a movie industry here.” 

He stated that their government had difficulties throughout the process as naysayers laughed and but they always remained in high spirits and started work on their goal. 

“This was new and innovative thinking as we sought to diversify the Nevis economy. The naysayers laughed and said it could not be done. But the true patriots who believe in Nevis and its potential rolled up their sleeves and went to work, “said the premier. 

He announced that they are shooting the 7th feature film in Nevis, and while sharing the photo on social media, Brantley expressed, “But for me, this photo means so much more.”

The leader of CCM highlighted that the shooting of the feature film in Nevis assisted the local youngsters and generated new opportunities for them. It will help to learn new skills and help build a new industry in the country. 

Premier added, “These are local youngsters being given an opportunity to learn new skills and help build a new industry right here on Nevis.” 

He added that they are not the only locals being exposed, being employed, learning new skills, and being part of an exciting new film industry. This picture speaks eloquently that something good is happening in Nevis.
