Nevis: Premier of Nevis- Mark Brantley joined the team of the Concerned Citizens Movement in this year’s coastal clean up and tackled the beach in the area of VON Radio. He lauded the team and said that their work is “wonderful”.

Premier Brantley took to Facebook and shared glimpses of the clean up mission. He said that the clean up of the beaches and the entire Nevis is one of the steps of the government in preserving the natural resources.

He said, ”An early morning well spent with a few members of the CCM team as we joined this year’s coastal clean up and tackled the beach in the area of VON Radio. The camaraderie and chemistry between our team is truly wonderful.”

Premier Brantley said that the beaches of Nevis is the precious natural resources which will help them in protecting the environment.

While urging the citizens, he said, ”I continue to urge Nevisians and residents to stop littering and to clean up after themselves when they use our beaches. Our beaches are a precious natural resource so let us take care of our environment.

He also extended gratitude to the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society for the mission. He said,”Kudos to the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society for its continued work in promoting environmental protection on Nevis.”

Sharon Brantley also extended greetings to the CCM Team in cleaning up the coastline. She said,”Happy this morning to join the CCM Team in cleaning up the coastline. I am urging our residents to keep our island clean and properly dispose of trash, especially plastics Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.”

Jahnel Nisbett also expressed pleasure in becoming the part of the Concerned Citizens Movement team who once again turned to play their part in protecting their environment.

“Thank you as well to my former place of employment, the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society- NHSC for spearheading the International Coastal Cleanup once again! Doing good work with good people never felt so good Encouraging everyone to play your part by not littering and participating in similar exercises, ”she added.

She further said ,”Remember, we are not destroying the earth, we are destroying our ability to live on it! Please make it a safe and habitable space for generations to come.”
