Nevis: Mark Brantley reintroduces “BElieveInYOUrself backpack programme” for primary school children

While giving more information about the initiative, Premier Brantley stated that this time the backpacks would have some basic school supplies too.

Nevis: Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement– Mark Brantley, reintroduced the BElieveInYOUrself backpack programme for ALL primary school children in Nevis. After the halt of the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched the programme for constituency 9. 

While giving more information about the initiative, Premier Brantley stated that this time the backpacks would have some basic school supplies too. 

Through his social media, he wrote, “I always try to give back to my constituency and delighted that after a hiatus due to Covid, I can reintroduce my BElieveInYOUrself backpack programme for ALL primary school children in Nevis 9. This time the backpacks will have some basic school supplies too. I expect to distribute well before school reopens. Thanks be to God.” 

Earlier, he outlined that something good is happening in Nevis. 

Premier Brantley expressed pleasure to see the youth of the country enjoying brand new tennis courts on Nevis. The new tennis courts will be proved as a great success in the sports industry. 

Congratulating colleague Ministers Eric Evelyn and Spencer Brand and their hard-working teams who ensured the success of this project. “Congrats also to Oscar Browne and his expert team. In Nevis, we are investing significantly in our youth and the wellness of our people,” said the premier. 

He earlier also had an excellent meeting with the Police High Command in Nevis this morning to hear their progress and concerns as they work hand in hand to make Nevis the safest place in the world. 

Premier stated, “Very impressed with the progress thus far and encouraging our officers and the community to work together to eradicate crime from our beautiful island. ” 

The Nevis Island Administration also witnessed progress in the Bachelor’s programme for Nursing as a total of 8 persons to graduate soon, plus four persons in the Nursing Assistant Programme. He added that their government is solving the nursing shortage in Nevis through deliberate policy action.
