Nevis: Nevis boasts more than 44 varieties of mango with its much-anticipated Mango Festival 2023. Every mango consists of distinctive flavour, texture and name. 

During the summer mango season, locals feast on them for free, picking them off trees by the side of the road. Some of the more popular mangoes are Amory Polly, Julie, and Graham, but there are literally mangoes to suit every taste bud. 

Mangoes are known as the star of the show in Nevis, with its exceptional display of 44 varieties of fruit. During the festival, the mango brings happiness to the faces of the citizens with its different dishes. 

Nevisians come together for an entire weekend to celebrate its mango treasure. The events are totally dedicated to the humble mango as it features the visit of the island’s (and the Caribbean’s) best chefs to make some deliciously creative cuisine with the fruit.

The chefs who attend the festival help in embracing an epic culinary challenge. The Mango Festival features the creation of the meal with the addition of mango in every course. The visitors are also allowed to participate in a mango-eating competition and try their hand at a mango-inspired cocktail competition. 

The Nevis Mango & Food Festival is a Caribbean food festival which is 100% unique. The annual summer Mango Festival takes place from 30 June to 2 July on the beautiful Caribbean island of Nevis. 

The exotic celebration gives festival-goers the opportunity to learn and savour the flavours of 44 varieties of mangoes, grown fresh on the island, with festivities including a mango cook-off, a mango eating competition, a mango hunt and even mango massages. 

Not only this, but the weekend will also include special guest hosts, tastings of different varieties of mangoes, and opportunities to purchase fresh mangoes and mango products, making it a truly magical time on the island.
