Nevis: Cabinet Minister of the Nevis Island Administration and a member of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Alexis Jeffers, shared some glimpses from the handover cheque ceremony at the Franklyn Browne Community Center.
The cheque amounted to EC$14,897.44, and the fund has been raised to assist them with their medical expenses. Further, the fund has been shared equally between both Fitzroy and Lester.
Alexis Jeffers noted, “Yesterday, Saturday, June 11, 2022, we conducted a brief but significant ceremony at the Franklyn Browne Community Center to hand over cheques to Mr Fitzroy Warner and Mr Lester Pemberton.”
These cheques represent the proceeds from the activity held on Whit Monday in the heart of Brick Kiln to raise funds to assist them with their medical expenses. The total amount raised was EC$14,897.44. This was shared equally between both Fitzroy and Lester.
He also extended gratitude to Amoy Nisbett and Jamal Daniel for supporting him in the event. Jeffers also said thank you to all who made contributions of drinks, food, music, tents, stage, transportation etc.
Alexis Jeffers stated, “I want to once again thank the organizers, namely Mr Amoy Nisbett and Mr Jamal Daniel, who worked along with me to put this event together. Most importantly, I want to thank all who made contributions of drinks, food, music, tents, stage, transportation etc.”
He additionally thanked and appreciated all who served in the bar and food stalls. Their hard work and dedication were a demonstration of true community spirit consistent with what they have always had in Brick Kiln Village. To all those who came from all parts of Nevis and St Kitts to show their support, He said thank you.
