MSC Seaside cruise graces shores of Dominica, docks at Bayfront port

The Nature Isle of the Caribbean- Dominica welcomed the inaugural call of MSC Seaside cruise ships to the Bayfront port on Thursday, December 1, 2022. 

Roseau, Dominica: The Nature Isle of the Caribbean– Dominica welcomed the inaugural call of MSC Seaside cruise ships to the Bayfront port on Thursday, December 1, 2022. 

The port has been decorated with vibrant colours to welcome guests and passengers. The Discover Dominica authority gave an update on the cruise ships and shared mesmerizing glimpses of the cruise and port. 

“The view from a nature island cruise. On Thursday, December 1, MSC Seaside made her inaugural call to Dominica. The Bayfront port came alive with cultural displays filled with vibrant colours to welcome guests to the Nature Island.” 

Earlier on July 25, 2022, Dominica also welcomed the Disney Fantasy of Disney Cruise line to its shores. The cruise vessel docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. The cruise made its first call to Dominica’s shores 

Discover Dominica Authority expressed pleasure and stated, “We’re excited to announce that the Disney Fantasy of Disney Cruise Line docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth on July 25, 2022. This was Disney’s first call to Dominica’s shores and we worked hard to ensure a grand welcome for passengers and crew.” 

Disney Fantasy is the fourth cruise ship owned and operated by Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, which entered service in 2012. 

Disney Fantasy is the second ship of the Dream class. There were also snapshots of the inaugural ceremony featuring speeches, cultural displays, and more. 

The Nature isle- Dominica is the land of a great adventure. It flows with 365 rivers, and the freshwater flowing from Titou Gorge makes for a chilly and beautiful adventure to a hidden waterfall carved in the stone. The twin Trafalgar falls are a short drive from the capital town, Roseau, and a quick 10-minute walk on a paved path to a viewing platform. The more adventurous can venture up to the falls to swim in the plunge pools. 

 Dominica’s pristine rivers are worth an exploration every day of the year The Nature Island of the Caribbean is lush with verdant forests, protected marine reserves, dozens of plunging waterfalls, and flowing rivers hidden in the mountains.

Many rivers can be hiked to majestic waterfalls like the White River to Victoria Falls on the East coast of Dominica. Other calmer rivers like Concord river are perfect for river tubing and escaping the hot sun with friends and family.
