More than 100,000 people are fully vaccinated on T&T island

As per the data shared by Trinidad and Tobago government, so far, a total of 102,883 individuals have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and are fully vaccinated now against the deadly mutant.

According to the statistics, as of 2 July 2021, a total of 216, 708 individuals have received their first dose of the novel coronavirus vaccine, as per the data shared by the Ministry of Health in the COVID-19 update report. 

As of 2 July 2021, a total of 25,554 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant, while around 371 patients are still in the hospital facility, the reports state. 

A total of 233,175 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus as of 2 July 2021, out of which 98,839 individuals were tested at the private facilities, where as in total, 134,336 COVID-19 tests were conducted at the public healthcare facilities. 

Till 2 July 2021, there were around 132 individuals in the step-down facilities, while about 170 people are in the state-quarantine facilities, and a total of 6,106 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes. 

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started on the Caribbean island, it has reported a total of 33,153 cases of the deadly novel coronavirus.

Till 2 July 2021, the island has a total of 6, 733 active cases of the deadly novel coronavirus. A total of 866 individuals have died due to the COVID-19 vaccine. 

Despite this, Stuart Young, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Works and Transport, along with other key officials, tour the Piarco International Airport in preparation for the reopening of the borders.
