
Europe: Elena Kountoura- A member of the European Parliament, visited Rhodes for the “Gender- Society- Institutions” event of the Municipality of Rhodes and the Equality Committee. She also met with the Mayor of Rhodes, Antonis Kambourakis.
MEP Elena Kountoura took to Facebook, shared the update and stated that in the context of her visit to Rhodes for the “Gender – Society – Institutions” event of the Municipality of Rhodes and the Equality Committee, she met at the City Hall with the Mayor of Rhodes, Antonis Kambourakis.
They discussed the priorities and needs in supporting and empowering women against gender inequality and updated her work and actions in the European Parliament.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Mayor of Education Stratos Karikis, the Chairman of the Municipal Equality Committee of the Municipality of Rhodes Evdokia Apostolides – Patta, Christina Karagiannis,
“An. Head of Planning & Organization Directorate of the Municipality of Rhodes, and Maria Angelou, member of ANDO, and member of D. S. and Head of Press & Public Relations of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the Medieval City of Rhodes,” Elena Kountoura added.
Elena Kountoura also attended the event of the Equality Committee of the Municipality of Rhodes focusing on women, together with the member of parliament of Dodecanese SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance Dimitris Gakis, the Mayor of Rhodes Antonis Kambourakis, the Deputy Mayor Stratos Karikis and the President of the Municipal Committee for Equality of the Municipality of Rhodes Evdokia Apostolidis Patta.
Today she will be in Rhodes where she participate as a central speaker at the Equality Committee event of the Municipality of Rhodes, in the context of the March – Women’s Month information and awareness activities.
