Mark Brantley congratulates Prime Minister-elect Dr Terrance Drew, SKNLP for winning elections

Premier of Nevis and Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement extended warm wishes and greetings to Dr Terrance Drew for newly elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and recorded a landslide victory in the general elections held on August 5, 2022.

St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis and Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement– Mark Brantley extended warm wishes and greetings to Dr Terrance Drew for newly elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and recorded a landslide victory in the general elections held on August 5, 2022. 

He asked them to focus on healing and nation-building with re-emerging policies and decisions.

Uttering warm words for SKNLP and Dr Drew, Mark Brantley said, “I congratulate Prime Minister-elect Dr Terrence Drew and his St Kitts Nevis Labour Party for winning a majority of seats in yesterday’s election. May we now focus on healing and Nation building.” 

At the polls, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party recorded a landslide victory by winning a majority in six constituencies and paving the path of the parliament. Dr Terrance Drew was sworn in as PM of the twin-island Federation on Saturday and became the fourth prime minister. He secured constituency number eight for the first time and is all set to serve the nation as prime minister. 

Besides this, all the three constituencies of Nevis have been secured by the Concerned Citizens Movement. Mark Brantley returned to his constituency by winning with a majority of votes in the elections. After sweeping Nevis, Premier took to social media and penned down a thanks note for the generous support. 

He stated, “While I have thanked the Nevisian people for their support generally and congratulated them on their conduct during this election cycle, I use this opportunity now to thank specifically the people of Nevis 9, St John’s and St Paul’s, for continuing to trust me as the best person to represent their interests in Basseterre.” 

Mark Brantley added that Since his first Federal election in August 2007 and for the 15 years and the fourth elections since then, the people of Number 9 have time and time again said that they have full confidence in his servant leadership.

“I am humbled by the overwhelming support and thank them for trusting me to always act in their best interest,” said the leader of CCM.
