Malta: Around 105 new doctors in the health service of Malta were employed on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Chris Fearne- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of Malta, announced the appointment of the new doctors in the hospitals. 

While announcing the news, Deputy PM Fearne took to social media and wrote, “105 new doctors in the health service government: Good luck.”

Chris Fearne noted that around 105 new foundation doctors had been employed with the Ministry of Health after having successfully completed their studies with UOM and other European Universities.

In addition to that, another 31 new doctors will be joining the workplace later this year. 

Further, Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne met these new doctors at Mater DEI Hospital. He also extended his warm wishes and heartfelt greetings to the newly appointed doctors. 

In the interaction, Chris Fearne encouraged them to specialize in the fields that interested them in ensuring the best healthcare service for the patients and expressed, “Well Done.”

The Health Sector of Malta witnessed significant development under the true leadership of Chris Fearne. Due to its efficient leadership, Malta has also been known for providing some of the world’s best healthcare systems.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) placed the country 5th among over 100 nations for overall healthcare services. 

Various factors such as his response against the COVID-19 pandemic, mental healthcare and other re-energizing policies placed the country in the position. He has been working hard to prevent the infection of viral infection of the novel coronavirus. Since the pandemic emerged in the country, the nation has witnessed 110,191 infections and 768 coronavirus-related deaths. The death rate in Malta has placed among the lowest in entire Europe. 

Moreover, the vaccination rate for the COVID-19 pandemic has also reached at highest as 1,320,877 dosses have been administered. Besides this, Chris Fearne also ordered an assessment of legislation regarding abortion laws to assure medical professionals are not stopped from saving lives.
