Male Netball team to represent Grenada at inaugural Americas Netball Men’s Championship

Grenada will be represented by an all-male netball team when the Spice Boys compete at the inaugural Americas Netball Men's Championship, scheduled for August 31 to September 5 at the Arnos Vale hard court in St.Vincent and the Grenadines(SVG).

Grenada: Grenada will be represented by an all-male netball team when the Spice Boys compete at the inaugural Americas Netball Men’s Championship, scheduled for August 31 to September 5 at the Arnos Vale hard court in St.Vincent and the Grenadines(SVG). 

We welcomed home our National U17 Boys Team this morning at the Maurice Bishop International Airport after participating in a gruelling but rewarding Pride of the Caribbean Invitational Tournament in Antigua. General Secretary Bernadine Andrew was present to greet the team and coaching staff, sharing the GFA’s sincere appreciation for the team’s efforts. 

The Grenada Table Tennis Association (GTTA) commenced a five-day ITTF Level 1 Coaches Certification Training Workshop on Monday, August 29, 2022. The Workshop is being facilitated by ITTF America Participation Officer Luisana Perez at the Grenada Youth Center. Twenty-one participants are registered from various institutions across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, including from primary schools and tertiary institutions.

GSA was privileged to host one of World Sailing’s prestigious Training Courses for Coaches this week at PCYC base, Le Phare Bleu

Trainee coaches Karina Benjamin; Tivonne Bernard; Elleje Bernard; Kishon Bruno; Dunason Compton; Jaydell Compton; Alvin Ferguson; Clyde Frank; Rondel Ferguson; Sharevin Joseph, and Azelia Renaud from across the Tri-Island State took part.

GSA would like to thank World Sailing; Mr Rob Holden, World Sailing Training Instructor; Grenada Olympic Committee and all who helped facilitate this important next step for Junior Sailing in Grenada. 

National Swimmers, Zackary Gresham, Tilly Collymore and Nathan Fletcher, departed Grenada on Saturday to attend the 8th FINA Junior Worlds competition scheduled for August 30th to September 4th, 2022. The trio is accompanied by the team manager, Mr. Nigel Gresham.

Both Zackary Gresham and Tilly Collymore have recently returned from competing in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. They have also participated in several other regional and international Swimming competitions including CCCAN, and CARIFTA.
