The Green House Band Junior Kaiso Contest, held on Wednesday, August 2, showcased twelve junior kaisonians.

The Nevis Culturama Festival Junior Kaiso Sub-Committee communicated all rules and guidelines to all participants prior to the contest, ensuring complete transparency in the judging process. Among the guidelines were the usage of the Hi-Low system and a Tie-Breaker policy in the event of tied scores.

The Hi-Low system involved dropping the highest and lowest scores. Both Mighty Zen and Dequon received 241 points, leading to the activation of the Tie Breaker Policy as stipulated in the contest’s guidelines.

The Tie Breaker Policy utilizes the Aggregate System of judging, where scores from all judges are combined to determine the highest aggregate score. In accordance with this policy, this approach was applied, resulting in Mighty Zen securing the position of 1st runner-up, while Dequon was awarded the position of 2nd runner-up.

The tie and the subsequent usage of the Tie Breaker Policy were announced by the contest’s host, DJ Woodis. The Nevis Culturama Committee extends its sincere gratitude to the judges, the enthusiastic audience and the talented junior kaisonians for making this contest a success.
