will join the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to host the High-level 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻.
The regional meeting will identify and develop stakeholder inputs ahead of the critical Conference aimed at assessing the ability of small island developing States to achieve sustainable development, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Global Goals.
The meeting will be held from August 8 to August 10, 2023 at St Vincent and the Grenadines. In the Caribbean, more than 320,000 tons of plastic waste is uncollected each year, a large part of which ends up in the Caribbean Sea, the second most polluted sea in the world.
