Netball: The fixtures for the preliminaries stage 2 of the Netball World Cup Cape Town 2023 has been announced. The matches will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023. The schedule of the day four has also been announced.

  • The first match will be held between Australia and Scotland at 9: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC1.
  • The match will be held between Zimbabwe and Barbados at 9: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC1.
  • Wales and New Zealand will compete in the third match of the tournament at 11: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC1.
  • Fiji and Malawi will compete in the fourth match of the tournament. The timing for the match is 11: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC2.
  • Jamaica vs Uganda will play against each other in the fifth match of the tournament. The timing for the match is 16: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC1.
  • The sixth match of the tournament will be held between Sri Lanka and Singapore. The timing for the match is 16: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC2.
  • South Africa vs Trinidad and Tobago will be teams for the seventh match of the day. The match will be started on 18: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC1.
  • The last match of the day will be held between Tonga and England at 18: 00 (CAT). The venue for the match is CTICC2.

The matches in the tournament held in different venues of the Cape Town. The SPAR Proteas put in a brilliant final quarter but it’s not enough as they lose their first Netball World Cup match to Jamaica.

Further, after two consecutive victories at the Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa, Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls overcome the Spar Proteas 67 – 49 to advance to the second round of the tournament. The host nation South Africa’s team put in a strong final quarter but it was not enough as they lost their first Netball World Cup 2023 match.
