The Under 14 Girls National Team left for the Caribbean Football Union Under 14 Girls Challenge in Antigua on Friday, 18th August and according to the technical team and team members they are ready for the challenge.

Instituted in 2018, the CFU U-14 Challenge Series is a holistic developmental competition that caters to boys and girls in alternating years.

The Challenge Series is the introduction to international competition and exposure for players. It hues to CFU’s developmental agenda and FIFA’s focus on further developing grassroots football in the region.

The Challenge Series is also a pivotal component of the CFU’s Next Generation Referee Course. It affords regional match officials who possess the requisite skills to advance to the FIFA International Refereeing Lists technical and practical training.

This year’s competition will have an all-female refereeing team.

Saint Lucian Under 15 Football Team recently returned from Curacao where they competed in the CONCACAF U-15 Boys Tournament. They had a very successful tournament, coming in second to Nicaragua.

The SLFA had to arrange a charter to send the team to Curacao, but it was a pity that more parents could not have accompanied them, as the plane was only half full. The SLFA dropped the ball on that one, but kudos to the team for a great performance.
