Castries, Saint Lucia: The Senior Women’s National Team of Saint Lucia for the 2023 Road to CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup has been announced. The football association shared the list of the squad on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Saint Lucia will compete in the CONCACAF tournament which is divided into leagues and those leagues are divided into groups.

The country is in Group C of League H and will open their campaign against Cuba on Friday September 22 at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground (DSCG) at 6.00 p.m.

The selected squad, representing Saint Lucia, comprises a talented athletic group from a cross-section of the island, and includes four overseas-based players aged 16 to 39. Following Friday’s encounter, the Women’s team will travel to Guadeloupe on Sunday September 24 for their away match on Tuesday September 26.

The squad reads: Goalkeepers: Renala Francis (Canaries), Kenna Lionel (Vieux Fort South). Defenders: Steffany Allain (Canaries), Marissa Duncan (Canaries), Racquel John (Student athlete in the USA), Makhaya Smith (Laborie), Jessica Wallace (United Kingdom).

Midfielders: Ellaisa Marquis (Dennery / Team Captain), Eartha Pond (United Kingdom), Cassandra Shepherd (Canaries), Shamalyn Albert (Choiseul), Giana Hilton (Vieux Fort South), Britney Moncherry (Gros Islet), Ambrosa Mitchell (USA).

Strikers: Andrianna Dmuchalsky (Canada), Clowie William (Anse La Raye), Freegeanne Joseph (Vieux Fort South), Arnicka Louis (Marchand).

The Technical Staff: Trevor Anderson (Head Coach), Hiram Hunte (Assistant Coach), Mary Campbell (Team Manager), Ces Podd (Technical Director), Bernard President (Goalkeeping Coach), Wade Clovis (Physical Trainer), Natasha Innocent (Doctor).

Earlier, the CONCACAF W announced the places where the matches can be watched live.

Several teams have been selected for the 2024 CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Championship. The teams included La Selecta SLV and Canada, FHF – Fédération Haïtienne De Football, and Costa Rica.

Saint Lucia will also compete for the qualification of the 2024 CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Championship.
