On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Kamina Johnson Smith stated that Netball Jamaica is progressively working on the Centre pass programme of the country, which assisted in bringing out the new emerging talents in the sports industry.

Jamaica: Kamina Johnson Smith- Senator and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Jamaica’s Candidature of the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, extended greetings to the Sunshine Games, which is the national team of the Netball Jamaica, for the launching of the Centre pass programme. 

On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Kamina Johnson Smith stated that Netball Jamaica is progressively working on the Centre pass programme of the country, which assisted in bringing out the new emerging talents in the sports industry. 

She emphasized that the Government of Jamaica is working incredibly to uplift the sports industry for the young generation seeking a career in it. So netball Jamaica has worked and promoted various fields in the netball games. 

While congratulating Netball Jamaica, Kamina Johnson Smith noted, “Congrats to Netball Jamaica on the proactive Centrepass programme to unearth new talent and strengthen technical capacity.”

She further extended gratitude to the Government of Australia for their significant donation to uplift the sector. Kamina Smith stated that also expressed pleasure to share the moments spent with Sunshine Girls and Olivia Grange- Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport in Jamaica.  

Kamina Johnson Smith underscored,” Many thanks to the very sporting Australian Government for its donation! So pleased to share this Sunshine Girls morning with Olivia Grange. 

Kamina Smith is a candidate of Jamaica for the Secretary-General of Commonwealth, which will be held in Rwanda in June, where the top position will be decided. 

She visited various countries, such as African countries and Caribbean countries, where Kamina Smith promoted herself to the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth. 

Various countries such as India, Belize, Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom backed the candidature for the position of the Commonwealth. Kamina Johnson Smith also extended gratitude for the public endorsement by the various countries and their political leaders.Â
