Kamina Smith stated that she is thrilled to be back in beautiful Georgetown, bearing witness to a strong drive for sustainable growth and development, part of regional recovery from the pandemic.

Jamaica: Kamina Johnson Smith- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, expressed pleasure to take part in the inaugural Agri-Investment Forum and Expo hosted by the Co-operative Republic of Guyana at Georgetown. 

Kamina Smith stated that she is thrilled to be back in beautiful Georgetown, bearing witness to a strong drive for sustainable growth and development, part of regional recovery from the pandemic. 

Kamina Smith joined the Jamaican team, which represented to identify ad support regional opportunities for CARICOM, food security, growth and #investment in #Agriculture and Agritech. 

The Jamaican team also included Minister Pearnel P. Charles Jr, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica and JAMPRO Jamaica. 

She noted, “So pleased to join Minister pcharlesjr, moafjm, PAMPRO Jamaica and the #Agriculture and #Investment action team in Guyana for the regional Agri-Invest Forum hosted by H.E. Dr Mohamed Irfaan Pres of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.”

Kamina Johnson Smith also appreciated Minister of Agriculture of Guyana Zulfikar Mustapha, who is the co-host of the Agri-Investment Forum and Expo of Guyana.

She added, “So appreciative of the warm welcome by Guyana’s Minister of Agriculture #Zulfikar Mustapha, co-host of Guyana’s Agri-Invest Forum. I congratulate him, Dr Mohamed Irfaan and the government on their timely and important drive for regional #food security targeting #25 by 25.” 

Kamina lauded President Dr Orfaan Ali and his government for taking this investment and outlined various matters of concern in the field of agriculture and food security. 

The inaugural Agri-Investment Forum and Expo showcased a wide range of local cuisine, agricultural produce, art and craft and much more.

The three-day event, which is open to the public, is being hosted at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, Liliendaal, under the theme: “Investing is Vision 25 by 2025″.

A number of regional and international investors, CARICOM Heads of Government and hundreds of exhibitors are participating in the expo.

Kamina Smith also shared some glimpse of her meeting and presentation at Guyana’s Agro-Investment Forum.
