Jamaica: The government of Jamaica shared the news that the Cruise Ship of the Royal Caribbean has reported the minor damage after the collision had happened while docking.
As per the report received from cruisehive.com, the damage occurred on Friday, May 27, 2022. The incident had happened during the ship that was scheduled to dock at its assigned spot sometime after 7 am.
Reportedly, the vessel collided with a small concrete mooring pylon, which further significant but minor damage to the ship of the Royal Caribbean. As per the reports, the collision has caused dents and paving scrapes, among other minor damage.
So the reports mentioned that the dock was damaged significantly.
However, the passengers and crews who were onboard the cruise ship the Royal Caribbean have suffered no injuries due to the result of the collision. The reports have been provided by the Royal Caribbean and stated that the damage has occurred to the ship and dock, but the passengers and crew have not received any injuries.
The Royal Caribbean further asserted, “Only minor cosmetic damage occurred to the team of the ship, and the further sailing will be continued worked as per the scheduled have been taken.”
In addition to that, the guests were allowed to debark the ships as per the schedule given by Falmouth. However, minor damages have been reported, which could be repaired by a maintenance crew.
The reports further stated that they hadn’t found any significant damage to the below part of the ship called the waterline, and nor were any operational systems affected by the collision.
As per the schedule of the Cruise ship of the Royal Caribbean, the ship was expected to make other stops in various countries of the Caribbean Islands after the ship gets departed from Jamaica.
Various ships are scheduled to dock in the countries such as St Kitts and Nevis and St Lucia.
