Kingston, Jamaica: Around 38 revolvers on Georgianna Close in Vineyard Town, Kingston, has been seized by the police force of Jamaica. On Sunday, August 21, 2022, a team of officers of Elletson Road Police conducted operations in the community.
In the search operations, the police found the firearm beneath a water tank. However, no one has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
Further investigations are underway, as per the police statement.

In another case, the Jamaica Police arrested Twenty-four-year old Omar Thompson as he was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, robbery with aggravation, and discharging a firearm within 40-yards of a public thoroughfare, following an incident at Dryland District, in the parish, on Wednesday, April 6.
He was arrested at Litchfield District, Wait-A-Bit in Trelawny.
Reports from the Wait-A-Bit Police are that at about 10:10 am, a woman parked her pick-up truck and was awaiting someone. Thompson then attacked and robbed her of $250,000 and a black LG cellular phone valued at $25,000. Thompson then fired shots in the air before escaping from the area.
On Saturday, August 20, he was arrested and charged following an interview.
