Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness has disclosed about the new reshuffle that has taken place in the Cabinet.
The significant shuffle involved Robert Montague being transferred from the Transportation and Mining Ministry to the Ministry of Economic Growth and Employment Generation as a minister without portfolio. In contrast, Floyd Green has returned to the executive as minister without a portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Marlene Malahoo Forte is now the minister of the newly created Ministry of Legal and Constitutional Affairs. Dr Derrick McKoy replaces her as the new Attorney General.
Numerous portfolios now fall under the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation. In contrast, the number of ministries will remain the same.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed minister will take oath at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday.
