Jamaica: Prime Minister of Jamaica paid tribute to his senior leader of Jamaica labour party (JLP), businessman, and Board Chairman for NERHA ‘Tyrone Robinson.’
In a Press note, JLP extends deeply saddened at the passing of businessman and one of its vital political organizers, Tyrone Robinson.
The 58 years old, Tyrone Robinson was illness over the past few weeks.
JLP, in an official statement, stated that the party had lost a pillar on which it was standing.
On this sad new Prime Minister of Jamaica, JLP Andrew Holness leader said,” Tyrone was not only a key stalwart for the Jamaica Labour Party, who gave yeoman’s service, particularly in the northern belt of the island.
PM Holness added,” He was committed to the development of his country through service on several public boards including acting Chairman of the North East Regional Health Authority up until the time of his death.”
Prime Minister Holness noted “Tyrone had a great love for the people of St. Ann and as a member of the business community there, he consistently contributed to various philanthropic efforts. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and humble soul.”
The Prime Minister and JLP leader said that Mr Robinson’s passing deeply saddens him. The JLP Leader is expressing sincere condolences to Mr Robinson’s family and close friends.
The Prime Minister noted reports that Mr Robinson had developed complications after testing positive for Covid-19 and urges all Jamaicans to recognize that Covid-19 remains a serious threat to our lives and livelihoods.
A local JLP leader on his death said,” He was a gentleman, Mr Robinson always thought about Jamaica, and he had very close connections with the local peoples.
The leader also added that he was “Man with a golden heart.”
A resident of Jamaica Jack said, “Sleep in Peace Tyrone, condolences to his family, friends and the Jamaica Labour Party.”
