Jamaica: Prime Minister Andrew Holness donated keys to the new and renovated homes to the beneficiaries who have lost their houses due to some natural disasters and calamities. On Friday, June 3, 2022, PM Andrew Holness expressed pleasure while donating homes to certain beneficiaries residing in various constituencies of Jamaica.
He outlined the biography of the various beneficiaries and stated that it was a great moment for him.
Firstly, PM Holness talks about Graham, who was living in a derelict building that was damaged by fire on October 14, 2020. Today Graham is a proud recipient of a brand new two bedroom home inclusive of a bathroom, kitchen, and living room area; this was possible through the New Social Housing Programme.
Graham resides in the constituency of St. Andrew Western, represented by MP Anthony Hylton.
It is the goal of this government to give every single Jamaican the opportunity to experience the feeling of satisfaction, safety and security that comes with owning their home and being able to pass it on to their children.
Further, Beverly Toban received her keys to her three-bedroom home, inclusive of a bathroom, kitchen, and living room, under the New Social Housing Programme.
Toban resides in the constituency of St. Catherine North Central, represented by MP Natalie Neita Garvey. Every Jamaican, irrespective of their economic status, should be able to access decent housing, and we are steadfastly working to make that possible.
Moreover, the next beneficiary named Ivy Smith is the proud recipient of the keys to her brand new three-bedroom home built through the New Social Housing Programme.
PM Andrew Holness stated that he cannot express just how much pleasure it gives me to transform lives through decent housing. Smith resides in the constituency of St. Catherine North Western, represented by MP Hugh Graham.
