Jamaica :MP Warmington donated 100 tablets and 40 laptops to the students

Member of Parliament Everald Warmington donated 100 tablets and 40 laptops to the students. More than 200 pupils from the constituency of St Catherine South West have got tablets and laptop computers through a drive spearheaded by Member of Parliament Everald Warmington, by support from three business entities in the region.

Kingston, Jamaica: Member of Parliament Everald Warmington donated 100 tablets and 40 laptops to the students. More than 200 pupils from the constituency of St Catherine South West have got tablets and laptop computers through a drive spearheaded by Member of Parliament Everald Warmington, by support from three business entities in the region.

Warmington stated that It is a particular working time for a lot of parents who are unable to give this equipment to the students to be able to study online.

Because of that, the constituency gave the first 100 tablets and 40 laptops. At the same time, speaking to the presentation ceremony, held at his office in Old Harbour.

He told that the constituency is “grateful” to the “very good corporate citizens” who replied to his request to help the students, and urged the beneficiaries to appreciate the kind gesture, and make the best usage of the computers.

For her part, Chairman of Old Harbour High School, Icylin Golding, said the Member of Parliament saw the need of the students and because he “believes in the educational development of every child, he reached out to them.”

“When a kindness like this is increased to you, use it wisely,” Golding said the students.

A student at St Catherine High School, Barrington Pryce, stated that he is very grateful for the laptop because “it will definitely help me in the education process.”

He stated that for the students, “this is their ticket, so they ought to take care of it, plus it will take care of them educationally.”

She also inspired the students to use the devices wisely to enhance their education.
