Caribbean: interCaribbean Airways cancelled flight for Saturday, October 21, 2023 due to the passage of Hurricane Tammy. Due to the weather disturbance, the flights of the airways have not been operating for last two days.

The service on the route from Dominica to Barbados, Barbados to Antigua and others have reportedly been cancelled due to the possible threats of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. The unclear has made the flights to stop from operating.

While issuing advisory, the airways added that the flights flights are now cancelled due to weather disturbance / Hurricane Tammy on OCT 21, 2023:

  • The flight number JY707 from Dominica to Barbados will cancel.
  • JY795 Antigua – Barbados
  • JY796 Barbados – Antigua
  • JY797 Antigua – Barbados
  • JY631 Tortola – Antigua
  • JY632 Antigua – Tortola
  • JY633 Tortola – Antigua
  • JY634 Antigua – Tortola

Due to Antigua Airport closure (VC Bird International Airport) caused by Hurricane Tammy, flight JY325 is now re-routed to Barbados (BGI) tomorrow Oct 21, 2023:

  • JY35 Providenciales – Barbados 11:35am

Besides this, the flights were also cancelled due to Tropical Storm Tammy which now has turned into Hurricane. The flights were disturbed on October 20, 2023 and did not operated on this day.

As of 5 pm local time, today Oct 19, 2023, the storm is approximately 150 NM North – Northeast of Barbados, with maximum sustained speed of 60 MPH, moving West-Northwest at 13 MPH.

Tropical Storm Tammy is getting stronger while currently over the seas and has a chance of becoming a hurricane. Customers on affected flights may rebook for a future flight, or cancel and seek a refund.
