India: PM Narendra Modi launches Winter Games, lauds Kashmiri sports star

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government of India launched the Winter Games in Kashmir and there was snow cricket during his 97th Edition and the first “Mann Ki Baat” radio program of 2023

India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government of India launched the Winter Games in Kashmir and there was snow cricket during his 97th Edition and the first “Mann Ki Baat” radio program of 2023. The main aim of the games is to search for young players for international games.

He lauded the sporting spirit of the Kashmiri people and stated that the winter games will be an “extension of the Khelo India movement.” PM Narendra Modi added that the Winter Games were organized in Syedabad, Kashmir and the players showed amazing snow cricket.

He further mentioned that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth regarding sports and these athletes will win various medals for the country in the upcoming time. While shedding light upon on various cricketers, PM Modi outlined that the emerging talent Umran Malik has been recognized as the “Jammu Express”. He has earned a lot of appreciation across the world. Legendary pacers Dale Steyn and Brett Lee also showed their appreciation and stated that it was Umran’s sheer pace that made it easy for him to cross the 150 marks while bowling.

Further, talking about the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the country is captivated the hearts of the entire country this winter season during snowfall.  Due to snowfall, the Kashmir valley has become very beautiful every year and people also like the video of the train going from Banihal to Budgam.

PM Narendra Modi also urged the citizens of India to strengthen the republic of the country through public participation. He added that the efforts of the government of India always worked to strengthen the Republic with strong public participation. He added that Mann Ki Baat is the emphatic voice of such dutiful fighters. He also underlined the significance of the Purple Fest and asserted that this was a unique effort in itself for the welfare of the divyangs.
