Jammu and Kashmir, India: Beerwah area of Budgam district has reported the girls practicing martial arts amid the heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir over the last few days. The girls from a sports academy were seen practicing various art forms barefooted in the snow.
Showing courage, a student of the sports academy said that they want to practice the martial and don’t care about the odds so they will not be stopped. She continued that they want to progress and work for the name of the country.
She asserted that they don’t get much facilities for indoor practice, but have the courage to become an Olympic player. She also outlined the details of the steps and stated that the academy taught them the steps for their self-defence and asked the girls to play the game to get stay away from during addiction.
The student further mentioned that they want to play the game and represent the Kashmir at national and international level by brining medals. It needs practice and that’s why they are practicing instead of the snow.
While talking about girls, she added that the girls can also do that as the sports are not only for boys and they don’t miss the practice even for a single day as they work to turn their parents’ dream into reality.
Further, the trainer of the academy- Sayeed Sujha Shah mentioned that the place was totally filled with snowfall but girls have called him and asked him to make their practice. He added that the girls wanted to practice and don’t want to be left behing which clearly showed their zeal and stamina.
He requested the government to build the proper facilities for the girls and focus on making them good athletes so that they could achieve their dream and work well for their carriers.
He also mentioned that they will continue with the practice and asked that the students should continue even if it rains or snow. They are also teaching the steps to the girls to defend themselves even in the snow.
