Health Minister Akilah Byron receives 2nd dose of COVID vaccine

Akilah Byron Nisbett, Minster of Health receiving second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Akilah Byron Nisbett, Minster of Health, ICT, Entrepreneurship, Entertainment and Talent Development of St Kitts and Nevis received her second dose of COVID-19 vaccine as she also encouraged others to follow suit.

Minister Nisbett stated that the vaccine is the safest way of overcoming the coronavirus pandemic and returning to normalcy.

“My COVID-19 Vaccination Card is now stamped with the COVID-19 Vaccination Program official stamp to indicate that I’ve had my two doses,” stated Akilah Byron Nisbitt, Minster of Health, ICT, Entrepreneurship, Entertainment and Talent Development St Kitts and Nevis.

She asked others to receive their first and second doses of the vaccine. Minister stated that all the people who received their first dose of the Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine in the near February 22, 2021, must get their second shot.

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris and Attorney General Vincent Byron also received the second dose of their vaccine on May 4, 2021.

St Kitts and Nevis had received 21,600 doses of Astrazeneca Coronavirus vaccine from the World Health Organizations’ COVAX mission. Earlier, the country had also received the same vaccines from India.
