Guyana Prez Dr Ali distributed hampers to elderly persons

In his continuous effort to bring relief to families during the pandemic, President Ali distributed hampers to dozens of elderly persons of the Mahaica area.

Georgetown, Guyana: In this COVID-19 pandemic, President of Guyana Dr Irfaan Ali is making a tremendous effort to save people of Guyana.

In his continuous effort to bring relief to families during the pandemic, President Ali distributed hampers to dozens of elderly persons of the Mahaica area.

The President presented the elderlies with food supplies which are required to help them during the holiday season. In total, 50 hampers were distributed, and this lead to making happiness on the faces.

The beneficiaries thanked the most caring President for this kind gesture.

One of the recipients stated that the hampers would help to make their Christmas even merrier.

The President had travelled to Unity, Mahaica to take part in a toy distribution exercise at a Christmas event, which was organised by businessman Chris Persaud.

At the event, President said “To our elderly, of course, you have contributed significantly to our nation. You are also a great asset to our country. And I am very pleased to be here and share with you also and to assure you that we will proceed to work hard to make your lives better.”

President Ali highlighted that improving healthcare will be at the forefront of the Government’s agenda.

President Ali also used the occasion to extend well wishes to all gathered on behalf of the Government of Guyana and his family.

Health Ministry of Guyana continuously urging people to follow all measure health protocols so that Guyana would able to win the battle against this COVID-19.

As this year Christmas is different from the previous years, President Ali requesting people to celebrate the festival with precautions.

This is one of the ideas that President himself went among them to make happiness on their faces.
