Grenada’s U15 Girls team places second in Jewels of Caribbean Football tournament

Grenada Football Associations (GFA) shared the results of different tournaments. The National U15 Girls Team placed second in the first-ever Jewels of the Caribbean Girls U15 Tournament.

Grenada: Grenada Football Associations (GFA) shared the results of different tournaments. The National U15 Girls Team placed second in the first-ever Jewels of the Caribbean Girls U15 Tournament. 

The girls won two matches, drew one and lost one, giving them seven points, only missing the title due to goal difference. At the closing ceremony held this evening in Antigua, Grenada’s Abigail Williams was named midfielder of the tournament. The association stated,” We salute you, Spice Princesses. The team returns to Grenada on Monday morning.”  

Moreover, Steffon Abraham and Romar Frank at the Maurice Bishop International Airport just before leaving the island this evening to travel to Valencia, Spain, for trials with the professional club Patacona C.F. 

Steffon is looking forward to the opportunity because he has always dreamed about playing football in Spain, while Romar is excited about working hard and representing Grenada well. Both have multiple caps for Grenada on the Senior Men’s National Team, and Romar is the lone goal scorer for Grenada in the last Concacaf Gold Cup. Good luck, lads. 

The Grenada Football Association extended huge and warm greetings to Paradise F.C. International’s Steffon Abraham and Football Club Camerhogne ‘s Romar Frank. 

Congratulations and safe travels to Paradise F.C. International’s Steffon Abraham and Football Club Camerhogne ‘s Romar Frank, who are heading to Valencia, Spain, for trials with professional club Patacona C.F. 

“Both players have had multiple caps with the Senior Men’s National Team, and Frank was Grenada’s lone goal scorer in the Concacaf Gold Cup last year. They leave the island this evening. We wish them the very best. #spice football #Grenada F.A.,” said the association. 

GFA General Secretary and Coaching Staff of the National U17 Boy’s Team meet with parents ahead of the team leaving on Monday, August 22, 2022, for Antigua for a Caribbean Competition. They will begin camp this evening. The team is led by Head Coach Clark John.Â
