Grenada: Grenada brings home its 16th gold medal at the RHS Chelsea’s Flower Show 2023, held in London. The theme for the display this year was “Tribute to Grenada’s Greenery Reserves”.
The design was led by Catherine John and her hardworking team, including Cornelius Joseph, who played a pivotal role in bringing the display to life by designing and building the stage.
The creation is dedicated to the memory of the late Denis Noel (OBE), a founding member of the Grenada Chelsea Exhibit Team. Noel was a passionate agriculturalist and had supplied flowers from his estate for previous gold-winning Chelsea Flower Show displays.
Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), said: “We’re so proud to support ‘A Tribute to Grenada’s Greenery Reserves’ and Mrs John and her team have done a wonderful job giving visitors to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show a taste of Grenada’s authentic natural beauty and lush gardens. As they reminisced about Hugo Bugg’s incredible garden back in 2014, the stunning Chelsea Gold flooring is made from Corten steel, proudly manufactured by Graepels and designed together with the very talented Hugo Bugg. This masterpiece garden earned a well-deserved gold medal.
The better way to celebrate the beginning of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023 is to make a display of the latest garden designs and flowers. ‘Strolling Home’ is one of everyone’s favourite spring pieces of artwork of two little Hedgehogs taking a stroll towards their home at the top of the path in this beautiful garden, taking in the stunning colours and smells of the wonderful English Summer.
